We are excited to provide this early preview of our upcoming season. Watch this space for specific dates and venues for some exceptional choral music coming soon!
ACS is also pleased to announce the formation of a new small ensemble group, with specific details to follow. We are planning an inaugural concert in October of the ancient and the new. Think Monteverdi mixed with Mozart!
Our full chorus concerts:
Early December, two evenings and one matinee
Our third annual concert, our tradition of beautiful music and holiday favorites returns. We are planning three performances in celebration of the holiday spirit, including the exciting Brightest and Best by Shawn Kirchner, selections from Britten’s Ceremony of Carols with children’s voices and jubilant Gloria in Excelsis Deo, by Jeffrey Ames, with brass and percussion. We’ll have The Boar’s Head Carol to usher in the season, Rutter’s Carol of the Magi and a medieval take on “Rudolph,” that will add much mirth! Join us for this concert for the whole family.
Sing, Love, Dance!
This performance features special guests, the Carolina Day Children’s Choir and professional orchestra. The act of coming together in song produces love, understanding and much joy. The music of Bach, in Kommt, ihr Töchter, helft mir klagen, and Dan Forrest’s global expression of unity, in seven languages, with his Jubilate Deo -- we’re in for a treat.
ACS: Alive and Kicking
Our “pops” concert features guests, soloists, jazz, gospel, Broadway songs and many surprises. Selections by Cole Porter, the Gershwin brothers and Stephen Swartz. We will feature guest artists and chorus performing songs from Ragtime, Wicked and Hamilton!
Join us on stage! Auditions will be on Tuesday, August 22 in the evening. Click here to request an audition.
