This group is good - better
than good. You'll never forget one of their concerts. The Asheville Choral Society The
Asheville Choral Society, 150 voices strong, is celebrating its
30th year of bringing innovative, challenging choral masterpieces
to its Western North Carolina audience. Music Director Lenora Thom,
appointed in 2000 following the retirement of founding director and
Music Director Emeritus Dr. Robert P. Keener, has presided over a
period of unprecedented artistic and organizational growth.
The ACS presents three
concert programs per season with two performances of each program.
The makeup of this volunteer, auditioned chorus is quite
diverse. Many, however, have considerable choral
experience or are degreed and/or professional
